DOMÉSTICA
Two women coexist in the same domestic space in a relationship defined by the hierarchy established between their roles. Doméstica takes Jean Genet’s theater play The Maids as a point of departure to explore interpersonal pyschology and power dynamics. Using space as a psychological extension of their characters, the tableau images question whether power can be negotiated and roles interchanged.
